EST. 1929
Froilán Rascón Reyero founded INFUSIONES SUSARÓN in 1929. He made use of the natural resources that he found near the “Susarón” cultural association (in Puebla de Lillo on mount Leonesa), where he selected different medicinal plants and sold them at the side of the railway in Boñar, making the most of the trans-Cantabrian train that stopped there daily.
INDUSTRIALISATION (1995)
After the company was passed down several generations, Miguel Prieto Rascón radically changed the family business turning it into a modern laboratory with innovative procedures and technological resources. From then on, the company was known as LABORATORIOS SANOR, S.A.
CONTINUOUS RESEARCH (2000)
The new premises were built in 2000 and are more than 4,500 m2. All this space meant that we could keep growing in terms of production, research and sales; LABORATORIOS SANOR, S.A. became one of the leading companies in the herbal tea sector, both in Spain and abroad.

Since 2018, Laboratorios Sanor was renamed INFUSIONES SUSARÓN, S.L. Susarón has a new brand and a new range of herbal teas that adapt to our consumers who are increasingly knowledgeable and demanding and want to cover their needs while enjoying a pleasant experience.
At INFUSIONES SUSARÓN, S.L. we are committed to you and that’s why we exhaustively control all of our herbal tea production processes from harvest to point of sale.
Exclusive quality control system
Our exclusive quality control system was developed by Pastille and Leon’s Technology Institute. We comply with the current legislation in all of the countries where we sell our products and possess all international certificates required (ISO 9001, ISO 22000 Food safety management and Industrial Register of Herbal Tea packaging No. 2500311/LE).
Raw material control
We use innovative systems that safely eliminate any risk of bacterial or microbiological contamination, while ensuring that no flavour, aroma or properties are lost from the active ingredients in our products. Before packaging, all raw materials are sterilised in a vacuum chamber using temperature and steam techniques (Maba Therm ® technology), which ensure that plants are fully sterilised, even against salmonella. The packaging process is 100% automated and electronically controlled, guaranteeing a high-quality final product.

With Susarón’s new double chamber tea bag, even more of the blends’ properties are extracted, optimising their aroma, flavour and benefits. At Susarón, we’re committed to the environment and food safety, so you won’t find staples or glue on our tea bags because they can alter the herbal tea’s flavour and make them difficult to recycle.
The new three-layer aluminium packaging locks in all of the teas’ beneficial properties and its aroma.
